Director, program development
Prior to joining CIRDI as director, program development, Ms. Murchison served as the director of operations for the Branch for International Surgical Care at the University of British Columbia, a global initiative to improve surgery in developing countries through education, research and collaboration. As a senior manager with KPMG and then BearingPoint LP, Ms. Murchison has managed multi-year, multi-stakeholder governance, education, environment, and justice reform projects for international agencies, including the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. She has worked in Indonesia, Vietnam, Jordan, the Philippines and Zimbabwe. Earlier in her career, she resided in Barbados where she managed CIDA’s Canada Training Awards Project. Ms. Murchison holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia and McGill universities and a Master of Arts from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, Ottawa.
