Tercer Encuentro Nacional de Comités de Monitoreo y Vigilancia Ambiental Participativos en Minería – Resumen de la Conferencia y Directorio Participantes

This is a summary report in Spanish from the Third National Conference on Participatory Environmental Monitoring and SurveillanceCommittees (CMVAPs) in Mining, which was held in Lima, Peru on October 25/26, 2016. It brought together representatives from different committees, organizations of the Peruvian government, mining companies, civil society and other institutions. There were about 200 delegates, 33 per cent of whom were women. The main goal of the conference was to create an opportunity to meet and discuss the role, strengths, achievements, weaknesses, and results of CMVAPs; and moving forward, to identify opportunities and next steps for strengthening CVMAPs in the mining sector.
