Engaging Communities and Sharing Benefits

Informed and engaged communities contribute to good governance and sustainable development. Involving local populations in decision making and creating local supply chains is essential to sharing the benefits of resource development. CIRDI is building expertise in multi-sector deliberative dialogue in the resource sector. This work also contributes to successful outcomes in our other areas of focus. We emphasize gender equality in order to help ensure that both women and men contribute to decision-making on resource development.
