Consider joining us for Canada-Africa Leadership: Natural Resource Development for Stronger Communities, hosted by The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business, on Wednesday 26 August at 11:00 AM ET. In this webinar, CIRDI’s COO Jaime Revenaz Webbe will present on the Institute’s gender strategy, interventions and outcomes in our work supporting good governance in the natural resource sector.
The session will profile the vital role of Canadian natural resource companies in positively impacting communities across Africa. The discussion will cover inherent business best practices and sustainability measures with a focus on mining – in light of Canada’s role as the world leader in financing natural resource development.
Jaime will also participate in a panel discussion with Wayne Floreani (Vice President, MineAfrica Inc.), Ben Chalmers (Senior Vice President, Mining Association of Canada), Naseem Lahri (Managing Director, Lucara Botswana), Ryan McEachern (Managing Director, Mining Suppliers Trade Association Canada).
